Making Vegan Easy Week 25 Round-Up

Happy Monday, friends! Here are last week’s “making vegan easy” tips from my Facebook page. Enjoy your week!

Tip #169: Connect with your past.

Veganize a favorite recipe from your childhood. It will be comforting.

Tip #170: For baking, you can use powdered soy milk to save money.

Just mix the powder with water and voila: soy milk! You can find it at health food stores or online.

Tip #171: Cook to music.

I love being in the kitchen alone, chopping vegetables and listening to my favorite music. It’s very relaxing.

Tip #172: Fall in love.

I read about a new vegan dating website the other day. If you’re single, you might want to give a try.

Tip #173: Chia seeds are high in omega-3 fatty acids.

I sprinkle a mixture of chia and hemp seeds on my salads every day. Note: Skip the ground chia and buy the seeds.

Tip #174: Store mushrooms in a paper bag to keep them fresh longer.

I buy them in bulk at the grocery and use a paper bag from the start. If you buy them prepackaged, it’s worth the effort to move the mushrooms to a paper bag once you get home. They will stay fresh two to three times longer!

Tip #175: Summer is a good time to make a meal out of salad.

From VegNews, 11 ways to elevate your salad from an appetizer to a meal.
