Step 3: Study Up
If you haven’t already, start researching veganism. Find websites and blogs on the Internet that resonate with you. Read them. The more you know, the better. Watch documentaries. There are a few excellent films on animals as well as health. Read books on vegan living and nutrition. It’s important to arm yourself with accurate information.
There will be friends and family members that question your decision. Be prepared to answer them to reduce their concerns about your health. Your decision may make them feel defensive. Let them know you still love them just the way they are (unless you don’t!). Above all else, just know you cannot make anyone else change. You can influence them but they need to make changes on their own and in their own way—just like you.
